Classification method for standard grades of paint adhesion

In solving the problem of paint film coating adhesion, Jiongsheng adhesion promoters are widely used, so what method is used to determine the effect of adhesion promoters in improving the adhesion between the substrate and the paint? Painting and coating The industry commonly uses the 100 grid adhesion test method to test. Here we take a look at how the 100 grid adhesion test method examines the application of adhesion promoters. Usually after the surface coating process of plastic or metal and other materials is completed, in order to check whether the degree of bonding between the coating and the substrate meets the requirements, the commonly used test method is to use a knife to draw a hundred grids on the surface, and tape it to the center of the formed grid. Then pull it off smoothly, observe the phenomenon of paint film falling off, and judge by calculating the corresponding standard of the state in the grid in the cross-cut. The standards of the paint film cross-cut method are: GB/T 9286-1998 'Cross-cut test of paint and varnish film', ASTM D 3359-2002 'Determination of adhesion by tape method', ISO 2409-2007 'Paint and varnish'—Cross-cutting Test'. When we buy paints and other products, we focus on quality. The quality of paint is reflected in whether the color is firm, that is, the adhesion in professional terms. On the label of a paint coating product we will see the adhesion rating of the product. So how did this adhesion level come about? Let's take a look at the test methods and test standards for paint adhesion. The test used in this paper is a cross scraper to reproduce the test process. Paint adhesion test standard: divided into five grades, adhesion≥4B is qualified. 5B-The edge of the scribed line is smooth, and there is no paint peeling off at the edge and intersection of the scribed line; 4B-A small piece of paint peels off at the intersection of the scribed line, and the total peeling area is less than 5%; 3B-On the scribed line Small pieces of paint peel off at the edges and intersections, and the total peeling area is between 5% and 15%; 2B - There are pieces of paint peeling off at the edges and intersections of the line, and the total peeling area is between 15% and 15%. Between 35%; 1B—Flakes of paint fall off at the edges and intersections of the scribed lines, and the total peeling area is between 35% and 65%; 0B—Flakes at the edges and intersections of the scribed lines The paint peeled off, and the total peeling area is greater than 65%. Test method for paint adhesion: first place the painted sample on a flat table, use a hundred-square knife to apply force evenly on the surface of the sample, and draw at least 6 parallel cutting lines smoothly, and then make a 90-degree line with the first cutting line.°Draw 6 parallel lines perpendicular to each other to form a grid pattern. It should be noted here that all incisions need to penetrate the surface of the substrate. After cleaning the lines in the grid, apply it to the center of the grid. tape and make sure it is in full contact with the paint film. Lift the tape to form about 60 with the template°angle, remove the tape continuously and smoothly, and then observe the peeling of the paint film in the grid. 1. Scribe 100 grids on the coating sample plate of the substrate, and the scribe knife needs to penetrate the paint film to the substrate 2. Clean the surface of the sample to ensure a clean test environment 3. Attach the tape to the center of the coated sample and ensure that When the coating is in complete contact, it is quickly and continuously peeled off. 4. Judging the adhesion according to the peeling of the paint film. 1. The incision should penetrate the coating, but not too deep into the substrate. The test is invalid if the coating is too thick and hard to penetrate the substrate. 2. The tape is generally a 25mm wide translucent tape, and the backing material is polyester film or acetate fiber. Stick the tape on the entire grid, and then tear it off at a small angle. The result can be obtained according to the proportion of the glued area on the surface of the paint film. 3. The test should be performed at a temperature of 23±2°C and relative humidity 50±It is important to carry out paint adhesion test in 5%. It is an important standard and basis for classifying paint and coating grades and judging quality. It is also an important indicator for judging whether a paint and coating product is a product. The paint adhesion will directly affect the decoration effect. When purchasing, we must carefully read the adhesion test level on the label of paint and coating products.
