At this stage, many companies and manufacturers in my country have invested in the field of autonomous driving. According to data from Tianyancha, there are a total of 7,970 autonomous driving-related companies, of which 441 have been established within one year. According to the technical level standard launched by the International Society of Automotive Engineers, my country's autonomous driving technology is currently being led by Internet technology companies, cooperating with new energy car companies and traditional car companies, and gradually transitioning the autonomous driving level of cars from L2 to L3. Baidu is one of the earliest companies in the field of autonomous driving in my country. Since Baidu began to explore the field of artificial intelligence, its Apollo program has been deployed in the industry for 8 years, including an open platform for autonomous driving, an open platform for vehicle-road collaboration and smart cars. The three platforms of the open platform are linked. After years of research, Baidu Apollo's autonomous driving technology has ushered in a new development. On April 20, Li Zhenyu, vice president of Baidu Group and general manager of the Intelligent Driving Business Group, announced that,“In the second half of 2021, Baidu Apollo autonomous driving will usher in the peak of mass production, and a new car will be launched every month. At the same time, within this year, Baidu Apollo will cover urban roads and expressways in 20 cities, and 100 cities will be covered by 2023.”However, whether the self-driving car can actually be put on the road and whether its commerciality can be guaranteed is still a problem that enterprises are worried about.
