Since the Second Session of the Thirteenth National People's Congress in 2019 included artificial intelligence projects in the legislative plan, the development of artificial intelligence technology in my country has continued to accelerate. As an extension of artificial intelligence technology in the automotive industry, the field of autonomous driving has attracted the attention of technicians all over the world in recent years. However, in order for the car to achieve autonomous driving, it is necessary to combine artificial intelligence, visual computing, radar, monitoring devices and global positioning systems, so that the computer can operate the motor vehicle automatically and safely without any human active operation. Therefore, autonomous driving Technology will become a brand new development direction for future cars. At this stage, many companies and manufacturers in my country have invested in the field of autonomous driving. According to data from Tianyancha, there are a total of 7,970 autonomous driving-related companies, of which 441 have been established within one year. According to the technical level standard launched by the International Society of Automotive Engineers, my country's autonomous driving technology is currently being led by Internet technology companies, cooperating with new energy car companies and traditional car companies, and gradually transitioning the autonomous driving level of cars from L2 to L3. Baidu is one of the earliest companies in the field of autonomous driving in my country. Since Baidu began to explore the field of artificial intelligence, its Apollo program has been deployed in the industry for 8 years, including an open platform for autonomous driving, an open platform for vehicle-road collaboration and smart cars. The three platforms of the open platform are linked. After years of research, Baidu Apollo's autonomous driving technology has ushered in a new development. On April 20, Li Zhenyu, vice president of Baidu Group and general manager of the Intelligent Driving Business Group, announced that,“In the second half of 2021, Baidu Apollo autonomous driving will usher in the peak of mass production, and a new car will be launched every month. At the same time, within this year, Baidu Apollo will cover urban roads and expressways in 20 cities, and 100 cities will be covered by 2023.”However, whether the self-driving car can actually be put on the road and whether its commerciality can be guaranteed is still a problem that enterprises are worried about. With the rapid development of future travel modes, the commerciality of autonomous driving is mainly reflected in the use of its scenarios and accessories. The first is the diversity of its application scenarios. It will be the field of autonomous driving development in terms of automatic parking, logistics transportation, terminal distribution, public transportation, time-sharing leasing, online car-hailing, and shared travel. The second is the application of its high-tech. Suppliers of key hardware such as radar, cameras, and chips, as well as manufacturers who master artificial intelligence algorithms, multi-sensor fusion and other technologies, will provide guarantees for the commercialization of the field of autonomous driving; Both capabilities and providers with overall solutions will jointly develop autonomous driving products for commercial scenarios.
