Description of the function of each component of the color fastness tester to sunlight

The color fastness tester to sunlight is used for light fastness experiments of various textiles, leather, plastics and other materials. By setting the irradiance, temperature and humidity in the test chamber, the natural conditions required for the experiment are simulated and provided to test the samples. The color and performance changes of the material can also be tested, and the light aging resistance of the material can also be tested. It means that the color fastness tester to sunlight is composed of filter system, filter system, relative humidity, temperature, rain system, sample holder, and timing device. The specific functions are as follows: The filter system can be used before the test. Select and combine according to the respective spectral requirements of light fastness test and weather fastness test. The water pump of the filtration system pumps water from the water tank, and the water enters the water pump through the filter. When the water passes through the filter, the filter rod in the filter filters out the impurities in the water; when there are too many impurities attached to the filter rod, the filter should be removed. Unscrew the cartridge and replace the filter rod. Relative humidity The test chamber is conditioned by a new type of ultrasonic humidity control system, which is automatically controlled and regulated by a computer. The increase in the surface temperature of the sample is caused by the infrared part of the light radiated by the xenon arc lamp, and the temperature of the surface of the sample is cooled by the air flow; if the air flow is blocked or some infrared filters are replaced with filter glass, it can be obtained Higher blackboard temperature. Rain shower system The rain shower system is composed of a water tank, a water pump, a solenoid valve, and a spray nozzle. The water pumped by the water pump from the water tank is sprayed out through the electromagnetic valve to the spray nozzle, and sprayed onto the surface of the sample to complete the rain shower. The raining cycle and the duration of each time can be arbitrarily set on the instrument control panel according to the test requirements. Sample holder The sample holder rotates around the light source at a speed of 5r/min. Timing device Record the cumulative working time of the xenon arc lamp and its use, and calculate the working time of each test. When the xenon arc lamp starts to work, the timer will count at the same time, and if the xenon arc lamp is extinguished, the timer will stop timing.

What Are the ISTA Standard Tests and ISTA Testing Equipment?
ISTA (International Safe Transit Association) standard tests are globally recognized transportation packaging test procedures designed to evaluate the safety and reliability of products and their packaging throughout the logistics chain. By simulating real-world transportation conditions such as drops, vibration, impact, stacking, and compression, ISTA testing helps identify potential packaging weaknesses before products enter large-scale distribution. ISTA testing equipment—including drop testers, vibration testers, incline impact machines, and compression testers—plays a critical role in accurately reproducing these conditions under laboratory settings. Proper selection and use of ISTA-compliant equipment enable manufacturers to reduce transportation damage, lower return costs, enhance packaging design, and improve customer confidence in product quality and logistics safety.
