GB8410-Automobile interior combustion test method and standard

The fire performance of automobile interior parts has received widespread attention. The burning test methods and standards of automobile interior parts mainly include American Standard FMVSS302, Canadian Standard CMVSS302, National Standard GB8410, and European Standard Directive 95/28/EC. GB8410 standard name GB8410 Flammability of automotive interior materials Flammability of automotive interior materials. The GB8410 standard specifies the technical requirements and test methods for the horizontal tongs characteristics of automotive interior materials. The GB8410 standard applies to the evaluation of the horizontal combustion characteristics of automotive interior materials. The GB8410 standard technical requirements require that the burning speed of interior materials is not greater than 100mm/min. Burning rate: the ratio of the measured burning distance to the time it takes to burn this distance, in millimeters per minute (mm/min). GB8410 Automobile interior material combustion characteristics test principle: Clamp the sample horizontally on the U-shaped bracket, and ignite the free end of the sample with a specified height of flame in the combustion box for 15 seconds to determine whether the flame on the sample has gone out or when it has gone out , And the distance the sample burns and the time it takes to burn that distance. GB8410 Automotive Interior Materials Combustion Characteristics Test-Class A/B/C/D/E Classification According to the different burning distance and burning rate of automobile materials, the materials are classified into five grades. FMVSS302 standard name FMVSS302 Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No.302; Flammability of interior materials. FMVSS302 Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No.302; Flammability of interior materials. FMVSS302 standard purpose and scope of application This FMVSS302 standard describes the flame retardancy requirements of materials used in automobile passenger compartments. The purpose of this standard is to reduce injuries and deaths caused by vehicle fires, especially those that originate in the interior of the vehicle such as matches or cigarettes. The FMVSS302 standard applies to passenger cars, multi-purpose passenger cars, trucks and buses. FMVSS302 sample size and quantity Sample size and quantity: 102mm×356mm×thickness (the thickness of the sample used in the car, but not more than 13mm, if it is greater than 13 mm, it must be cut into 13 mm.) At least 10 samples, If there are different burning speeds in different directions, at least 10 samples in each direction should be sampled in different directions. If the size of the material does not meet the requirements of the test, a sample that meets the requirements of the test shall be made.
