How to use thermal and moisture resistance tester

Before starting the machine, check whether there is enough water in the water level indicator of the constant temperature and humidity water tank. If there is no water, please add water first. Otherwise, even if it is turned on, the constant temperature and humidity tester will not work. How to add water: Open the front door, unscrew the stainless steel cover on the left, take the accessory funnel, and fill it with distilled water to provide microclimate humidity adjustment. Fill the water between the water level indicator lines. After turning on the power, the setting panel is displayed for designing the temperature and humidity of the climate room. During the thermal resistance test, the temperature of the climate chamber is 20°C and the humidity is 65%. During the humidity test, the temperature of the climate chamber is 35°C and the humidity is 40%. 1. The sequence of the thermal resistance test is: cold machine preheating-thermal resistance parameter setting-thermal resistance empty plate test-thermal resistance test cold machine preheating: the whole machine needs to be preheated for 45 minutes after turning on the power, and the test board Add a piece of medium-thickness fabric on it, and take out the fabric after the test board reaches 35 degrees Celsius. Then observe the temperature of the heating plate and the bottom plate to about 35.2, complete the preheating of the cold machine, and then put the test sample (or standard sample) into the test bench. Thermal resistance parameter setting: set according to standard requirements. Thermal resistance blank test: measure the thermal resistance under the temperature gradient without placing the test sample. The blank board test does not need to be done every time, because the repetition error of the blank board test is quite small, it is recommended to test once in 3-6 months. Thermal resistance test: Put the tested sample on the surface of the test board, adjust the lifting button at the front end of the test bench inside the test chamber, cover the four sides of the metal clamp, when the metal clamp is in the horizontal position, then put down the plexiglass cover, and cover The instrument door, press the start button, the instrument will run automatically. When it is stable, press the stop button, and the instrument will keep displaying the thermal resistance value as the test result. Replace the sample and repeat the previous steps to test. Finally, take the average value for evaluation. The result retains 3 significant digits. 2. The sequence of the humidity resistance test is: cold machine preheating-humidity resistance parameter setting-humidification and water replenishment and test film placement-humidity resistance empty board test-humidity resistance test cold machine preheating: it needs to be adjusted after turning on the power Preheat the machine for about 60 minutes, add a piece of fabric of medium thickness to the test board, and take out the fabric after the test board reaches 35 degrees Celsius. Then observe the temperature of the heating plate and the bottom plate to about 35.2, complete the preheating of the cold machine, and then put the test sample (or standard sample) into the test bench. Except for humidification and water replenishment and film placement, the moisture resistance test is similar to the thermal resistance, so I won’t repeat it here. Humidification and water replenishment: Press the wet resistance button on the control panel, loosen the waterproof connector of the adjusting rod a little, the water in the water replenishment tank will automatically flow into the test box, observe the water level indicator on the right side of the test bench and the surface of the porous plate of the test body, and touch the surface of the porous plate. , When moisture comes out, you can stop the water level adjusting rod to pull up, and tighten the waterproof joint. Take two films, the elastic side is used for testing, spread it on the surface of the perforated plate, and add distilled water to wet between the two films. Take the cotton block in the attachment to smooth the film, and remove the air bubbles between the film and the perforated plate. Water Resistance Testing Standards and Methods
Textile water resistance testing evaluates fabrics through three primary methods: hydrostatic pressure (measuring water penetration resistance), spray rating (assessing surface water repellency), and water repellency tests (quantifying water absorption). Hydrostatic pressure testing is critical for high-performance applications like outdoor apparel and diving gear, while spray rating evaluates surface staining for rainwear. Water repellency tests, such as the Bundesmann method, determine overall
