In the textile industry, the Martindale and Valspar test evaluation methods are two methods to measure the abrasion resistance of fabrics. Test principle: 

1. Under a certain pressure, the circular fabric sample and the standard abrasive rub against each other according to the movement trajectory of the Lissajous curve, resulting in damage to the sample. Wear resistance. 

2. The circular sample and the fabric of the same material are rubbed with a Lissajous graphic motion trajectory under a given pressure, and after reaching the specified number of revolutions, the pilling level of the sample is evaluated. Valspar test: Applicable standard: ASTMD4157 The Valspar Abrasion Tester is suitable for surface friction motion test such as standard friction media or metal mesh, and is mainly used to detect the abrasion resistance of textiles for automobile interior decoration and furniture. 


Test principle: Install the long strip of sample fabric on the front and rear clamps of the friction head, and apply a certain tension force, install the friction medium on the arc-shaped friction table, make the sample contact the friction medium, and apply A certain load is placed on the sample, and the friction table swings back and forth to rub the sample. After a certain number of frictions, the fracture strength of the sample is evaluated. Main parameters: 01. Test head: 4 groups; 02. Friction table: arc-R100mm, length-400mm; 03.
