What Is The Fatigue Tester?

What is the reason of fatigue testing?

Usually the purpose of fatigue testing is to determine the expected life of a material under cyclic loading, however fatigue strength and crack resistance are commonly sought values as well. The fatigue life of a material is the total number of cycles that a material can withstand under a single load scheme. 

How to Perform a Fatigue Test?

A sample is loaded into a fatigue tester and loaded using the pre-determined test stress, then unloaded to either zero load or an opposite load. 

This cycle of loading and unloading is then repeated until the end of the test is reached. The test may be run to a pre-determined number of cycles or until the sample has failed depending on the parameters of the test.

3. Upholstery Fabrics Sewn Seam Dynamic Fatigue Tester GT-KB40

Application:

Sewn Seam Dynamic Fatigue Tester is to measurement of or visual evaluation of yarn slippage and other types of failures in the three most commonly used upholstery seams - warp sewn to warp (wale to wale), filling sewn to filling (course to course), and warp sewn to filling (wale to course). The stresses at the seam are created by imposing a cyclic, impact, and penetrating load which fatigues the seam construction.
