Analysis of Operation Test of Melt Index Tester

The melt index testing-equipment' target='_blank'>tester is used to characterize the flow properties of thermoplastic polymers in a viscous flow state, and to determine the melt mass flow rate (MFR) and melt volume flow rate (MVR) of thermoplastic resins. Polycarbonate, nylon, fluoroplastic, polyarylsulfone and other engineering plastics, also suitable for non-woven fabrics, meltblown fabrics, polyethylene, polystyrene, polypropylene, ABS resin, polyoxymethylene resin and other materials with low melting temperature Test, (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. is the manufacturer, welcome to inquire. Applicable standards: GB/T3682, ISO1133, GB/T9643, JB/T5456, ASTM/D1238-98 Main parameters: 1. Extrusion discharge part Discharge port diameter:Φ2.095±0.005mm, outlet length: 8.000±0.025 mm; Charging barrel diameter:Φ9.550±0.025mm, charging barrel length: 152±0.1 mm; Piston rod head diameter: 9.475±0.015mm, Rod Tip Length: 6.350±0.100 mm; 2. Standard test load (a complete set of weights of 8 grades); 3. Temperature range: conventional room temperature——400℃ (500℃ optional); 4. Constant temperature accuracy:±0.5℃; 5. Display resolution: 0.1℃; 6. Cutting method: manual or automatic cutting; 7. Temperature recovery time: less than 4 minutes. Operation test: 01. Turn on the power supply, turn on the power switch, the green power indicator light is on, set the test temperature, and the red indicator light is on when heating. 02. Standby for 20 minutes, that is, the preset temperature can be stabilized before starting to work. 03. Sample preparation, weigh 4--5g on the balance, and prepare the sample for testing. 04. Add materials, when the temperature is stable, you can add materials. Take out the material rod, put it lightly on the high temperature resistant object, insert the funnel into the barrel, and vibrate the funnel while feeding, so that the material leaks quickly. After the feeding is completed, use the pressing rod to compact the material to reduce air bubbles, then insert the feeding rod, place the positioning sleeve, and put on the weight tray (the feeding operation must be completed within one minute). 05. After feeding, preheat for 4-6 minutes, add the required weights, and prepare for cutting and sampling. 06. When the material rod descends to the lower marking line, start timing and cutting. The test was stopped when it descended to the upper marked line. The cutting sample should be between the upper and lower marking lines of the material rod. 07. The cutting interval of each spline is determined according to the measured object. Generally, it is cut once every 60s or 30s. The length of each spline is generally about 20mm---50mm. 08. Select and weigh the splines, discard the splines with visible bubbles, and weigh the remaining splines (at least three) one by one, accurate to 0.0001g, and calculate the average weight. 09. Calculate the result and find the melt index. 10. After the test is completed, clean the material rod, barrel and die with clean gauze while it is hot for the next test. 11. After cleaning, put on the feeding rod, turn off the power switch, and cut off the power supply.
