Classification of apparel fabrics

1. Cotton fabrics Cotton fabrics refer to fabrics woven with cotton fibers as raw materials. Cotton fabrics have become one of the most commonly used clothing materials due to their excellent wearability. It is the most popular popular fabric. Cotton fabrics have good warmth retention and water absorption. It has the characteristics of strong resistance, abrasion resistance and washing resistance, softness and comfort, but the elasticity is poor and the shrinkage rate is large. Cotton fabrics have brighter colors and are mostly used in summer wear, casual wear, underwear, sportswear, etc. There are many types of cotton fabrics. Commonly used are plain cloth and poplin of plain weave; khaki, serge, and gabardine of twill; direct satin of satin; Oxford cloth and labor cloth of yarn-dyed cloth; velveteen of fleece, Corduroy-like; Bali yarn, seersucker, etc. of yarn weaving. At present, with the development of the textile industry, there are more and more types of other fabrics blended with cotton, such as cotton and linen fabrics, silk cotton fabrics, and Lycra cotton. Lycra cotton has been used more and more widely in clothing in recent years. It has the excellent properties of cotton, while being elastic, easy to move, and has good shapeability. Different cotton fabrics have different style characteristics and different ranges of adaptation. Such as plain cloth, fine woven cloth, dense, fine and smooth texture; Oxford cloth, coarse plain cloth, and twill texture are thick and rough, with strong three-dimensional effect; poplin has a fine and light texture, soft and smooth texture; concave-convex fabric with loose texture, good water absorption, rich and soft The leno pure cotton mesh fabric is light, breathable, cool and comfortable; the velveteen has a smooth and rich appearance, soft luster, soft feel, and no wrinkle; the corduroy has a rough appearance and clear lines. 2. Silk fabrics Silk fabrics refer to fabrics woven from silk, including mulberry silk fabrics and tussah silk fabrics. Tussah silk fabrics are lighter in color, rough in appearance, soft to the touch but not slippery; mulberry silk fabrics are delicate and smooth, suitable for high-end clothing and evening dresses. There is a good touch between the silk fabric and the skin, moisture absorption, breathability, lightness and smoothness, and good elasticity. In addition, silk fabrics generally have good luster, bright and pleasing to the eye, delicate and soft feel, and feel gorgeous, delicate, and noble. The color is suitable for both light and gray. It is a high-end clothing fabric. Commonly used silk fabrics are power spinning, soft satin, taffeta, brocade, gold velvet and so on. They are mostly used in high-level women's clothing and evening dresses. 3. Wool fabric Wool fabric is a fabric woven from fiber obtained from animals as raw materials. It has good warmth retention and stretchability, good moisture absorption, not easy to wrinkle, dark and subtle color, and is dignified and generous. , Elegant feeling, mostly used in more formal occasions such as spring and autumn clothes and professional clothes. The pure wool fabric has a soft and natural luster, soft hand feel, full of elasticity, not easy to generate heat, good moisture absorption, and good warmth retention performance. Its raw materials are mainly sheep wool, such as gabardine, ladies, what is it, and flannel. Worsted wool has crisp, moisture absorption and good air permeability, and it is dry and comfortable to wear in summer, such as vanidin and serge. Woollen fabric has a thick and plump hand feel, with different textures on the front and back, and has a sense of volume, such as tweed. 4. Hemp fabric Hemp fabric is a fabric woven from hemp plant fibers. Linen fabric has the characteristics of water absorption, anti-wrinkle, and a little luster. It can profoundly express the aesthetic needs of modern people in pursuit of returning to the simple and natural. 5. Knitted fabric Knitted fabric is a kind of fabric formed by bending one or several yarns into loops along the weft or warp direction, and then threading the loops into each other. It is characterized by elasticity, softness and comfortable wearing. Cotton knitted fabrics are soft to the touch, thick and warm, and have good air permeability, moisture absorption and elasticity, but they are easy to curl and fall off. They are suitable for underwear and T-shirts. The ribbed needle has clear stripes and greater horizontal elasticity. Polyester cotton knitted fabric has different fiber composition on the front and back. In my opinion, it is crisp, anti-wrinkle, soft inner layer, moisture absorption and breathability. Lace knitted fabric has mesh, light and thin texture, distinct patterns and clear layers. Terry knitted fabrics are soft to the touch, have good moisture absorption and warmth retention, have meshes, are easy to thread off, have a variety of different patterns, and have many changes. The clothes made of knitted fabrics are random and natural, with smooth lines, coupled with its own texture and mesh and other texture effects, the right to use clothes are unique and unique. 6.
