ISO2062 Single Yarn Testing Machine GT-A01

Appliaction
The ISO2062 Single Yarn Testing Machine is designed to measure the breaking load and elongation of single yarns, with a force capacity up to 5000 centigrams. This electronically operated machine provides two force scales, 0-500cg and 0-5000cg, along with an extension scale graduated in millimeters and percentage of the standard test length (500mm).

Feature
1. The ISO2062 Single Yarn Testing Machine samples data dynamically at over 800Hz, allowing accurate peak detection and detailed textile property analysis.
2. Equipped with a sharp blue LCD panel, operators can easily select the desired test module and standard.
3. Each button includes a clear icon, simplifying navigation by displaying only task-relevant options.
4. ISO2062 Single Yarn Testing Machine utilizes a Mitsubishi 16-bit MCU and 16-bit A/D converter, offering strong anti-interference capability and faster data transmission.
5. Automatic clock generation with continuous visual display.
6. Real-time display of test data, including mean square value, average, maximum, and minimum. Allows presetting of tensile force.
7. Multiple force units (N, Kgf, lb, in, cN) are easily interchangeable.
8. Reports and diagrams can be processed by a computer and printed.
9. A calibration file enables unit calibration with numerical indicators.
10. Operators can manage tests via the LCD control panel and print data directly without a PC, allowing bidirectional control.
11. ISO2062 Single Yarn Testing Data can be exported to Excel for further analysis.
12. Overlay display of data curves is available.

1. What is a single yarn strength tester?

A single yarn strength tester is a specialized machine used to measure the tensile strength and elongation of individual yarn strands. It evaluates the yarn's breaking force, stretchability, and durability under specified test conditions. This testing is essential for assessing yarn quality and ensuring it meets strength requirements for textile manufacturing.

2. What is the ASTM standard for single yarn strength?

The ASTM standard for single yarn strength testing is ASTM D2256. This standard outlines methods for determining the tensile properties of yarns, including breaking force and elongation. ASTM D2256 provides a standardized approach to measure yarn strength under controlled conditions to ensure consistency and reliability across different tests.

3. What is the principle of a single thread strength tester?

The principle of a single thread strength tester is to apply a controlled and gradually increasing force to a yarn specimen until it breaks. The machine measures the force required to break the yarn, providing data on its tensile strength and elongation. The test results offer insights into the yarn's durability and quality, as higher strength values indicate more resilient yarns suitable for demanding applications.

4. How to test the tensile strength of yarn?

To test the tensile strength of yarn, follow these general steps:

1. Mount a single yarn specimen between the clamps of the strength tester, ensuring it is straight and free from any twists.
2. Set the test parameters, such as gauge length and loading rate, according to the applicable testing standard (like ASTM D2256 or ISO 2062).
3. Initiate the test, during which the machine applies a steadily increasing force until the yarn breaks.
4. Record the breaking force, elongation at break, and any other required data points.
5. Analyze the data to assess the yarn’s tensile strength and elongation, providing insights into its performance and quality for textile use.
