The Outsole Belt Flexing Tester GT-KB35 is specifically designed to evaluate the resistance of footwear components to crack initiation and propagation resulting from repeated flexing. It simulates the wear and tear experienced during regular walking, providing valuable insights into the durability of shoe outsoles.
At its core, the instrument functions by subjecting specimens to simulated walking motions, replicating real-world conditions. Users have the flexibility to customize test parameters, including the number of cycles, to suit their specific requirements. The equipment can accommodate multiple specimens simultaneously, optimizing efficiency without compromising accuracy.
1. Connect to the power (AC 220V 50/60Hz) and turn on.
2. Free roller changing method
1) Open safety cover
2) Turning the handwheel to loosen the canvas belt, then remove it.
3) Use a wrench to loosen the screw on the free wheel and remove, then pull out the free wheel.
4) Attach 3 kinds of free wheels for option. (Choose as per the characteristics of the sample)
A: Suitable for soles with sole thickness greater than 15mm or very rigid sole units (Big size)
B: For typical sole units (Middle size)
C: For very flexible sole units (Min.size)
5) Here using the smallest free wheel for demo.
Put the grooved end of the free wheel facing inwards and insert it into the pin on the shaft, check whether it is stuck in the rotation, and then lock the screw.
6) Put the canvas belt on the driving wheel and the free wheel, and turn the handwheel to properly tighten the belt.
Tips: The sole sample is installed on the cloth tape with special glue and needle thread according to the standard for testing. This time only demonstrates the operation method of the equipment.
7) Put on safety cover.
3. Parameters setting
1)Turn on emergency switch.
2)Click [English] to enter the testing interface. Click [Set] for parameters setting.
3)There are two modes of [Timer] and [Counter], here select [Counter] mode as demo.
4)Click [Counter Set], set testing cycles.
5)Click [Return] back to the testing interface. Click [Zero] to clear current data, then click [Start] to test.
6)The machine will automatically stop the test after reaching the set number of times.
