Technical Information of Combustion Testing Instruments: Research Results of Prof. Li Zhengqi's Research Group, School of Energy, Harbin Institute of Technology“Industrial application of improved multiple ejection staged combustion technology in 600 MW supercritical W-flame boiler”As a highlight article, it was published in Environmental Science and Technology, an internationally renowned journal in the field of environment, with an impact factor of 5.330. Harbin Institute of Technology is the first author and corresponding author of the paper. The number of W-flame boilers designed for burning lean coal and anthracite in my country accounts for more than 80% of the installed capacity in the world. In actual operation, W-flame boilers will have severe deflection of the lower furnace flame, large wall temperature deviation of the water wall, high nitrogen oxide emission concentration (up to 1200-1600 mg/m3 converted to 6% oxygen), and pulverized coal to varying degrees. Problems such as poor burnout (the content of combustibles in fly ash is 8%-15%) seriously affect the safety, environmental protection and economy of W flame boiler operation. Professor Li Zhengqi's research group proposed the multi-ejection staged combustion technology for W flame boilers, and is committed to comprehensively solving the above problems. The technology is applied to a 600 MW supercritical W-flame boiler. The industrial test results show that when anthracite (dry ash-free base volatile content is 10%), the opening of the exhaust air baffle is increased from 20% to 20%. When it increases to 70%, the flame symmetry of the lower furnace is good, the heat load distribution of the boiler is uniform, the wall temperature deviation of the water wall is small, the ignition distance of the dense coal powder airflow is reduced from 1.05 meters to 0.66 meters, and the content of combustibles in fly ash is increased from 5.65%. To 6.4%, the nitrogen oxide emission concentration at the furnace outlet is reduced from 702 mg/m3 (6% oxygen) to 575 mg/m3 (6% oxygen), and the exhaust gas temperature at the air preheater outlet is increased from 126.5 degrees. At 129 degrees, the boiler efficiency was reduced from 90.1% to 89.7%, and the fly ash combustible content and nitrogen oxide emission concentration were 6.18% and 589 mg/m3 (6% oxygen) under optimal conditions, respectively. Safety, environmental protection and economy have been greatly improved.
