Office chair dynamic impact test of furniture tester

The office chair dynamic impact test is aimed at various types of chairs, and aims to evaluate the test chair's ability to withstand significant external impact. Next, the Jester furniture tester manufacturer will introduce to you the steps and procedures of the dynamic impact test of office chairs. 1. Office chair dynamic impact test steps 1. Place the chair on the furniture tester test platform. 2. For a chair with adjustable seat cushion height, adjust the seat cushion to the highest point. Adjust other functions to normal use conditions. If there are casters, they should be placed in the worst-case condition first (typically when the casters are at a 90 degree angle to the legs of the tripod). 3. Connect the test sand/sand bag or other fixed objects with equal impact strength to a device that allows it to fall freely on the seat cushion. 4. The free fall point of the sand/sand bag should be on the left and right sides of the seat cushion. On the central axis, and the distance from the frontmost surface of the back of the chair cannot exceed 13mm (0.5in), and the sand/sand bag cannot touch the back of the chair during the fall. 2. Office chair dynamic impact test procedure 1. Functional load test: (1) A sand/sand bag with a diameter of about 400 mm (16 in.) and a weight of 102 kg (225 lb) is suspended 152 mm above the uncompressed seat cushion ( 6in.), and then let it fall freely once. (2) Remove the sand/sand bag and evaluate the acceptance level of the product according to 3.1. (3) For chairs with adjustable seat cushion height, adjust the seat cushion to the lowest point, and then repeat steps 1 and 2. 2. Destructive load test: (1) Repeat the test steps to increase the weight of the test sand/sand bag to a destructive load of 136 kg (300 lbs). (2) Suspend the sand/sand bag at 152mm (6in.) above the uncompressed seat cushion and let it fall freely once. (3) Remove the sand/sand bag and evaluate the acceptance level of the product according to 3.2. (4) For the height-adjustable chair, adjust it to the lowest point and repeat the three tests in 1.2.3. It may also require a chair adjusted to the lowest point for testing. Note: If the second chair is used for a destructive test, it must first be adjusted to the lowest point for a functional load impact test. 3. Acceptance level 1. Functional load: The chair cannot lose its usability. 2. Destructive load: The internal structure of the chair cannot undergo sudden and major changes, and its loss of usability can be accepted.
