According to the requirements of the 'Limits of Hazardous Substances in Finished Furniture and Raw and Auxiliary Materials' (SZJG52-2016) standard, this supervision and spot check has tested five mandatory items such as formaldehyde emission, benzene emission and toluene emission of furniture products. . A total of 4 batches of furniture were found to be unqualified in formaldehyde emission, involving Jinkeer (Shanghai) Bedding Co., Ltd., Hongjiafu Furniture (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Mengtiantian Furniture Co., Ltd., and Zhongshan Yili Office Furniture. Co., Ltd. and other (nominal) production units. According to reports, formaldehyde has been identified as a carcinogen by the World Health Organization. Formaldehyde is mainly irritating to the skin and mucous membranes. Direct contact with formaldehyde on the skin can cause allergic dermatitis, pigmentation, and necrosis.
