Zipper load pull test machine test method

Zipper load pull test machine test method

The zipper load pull test machine can be used to test whether it can withstand a specified number of reciprocating pulling operations under the action of lateral and longitudinal tension. During the test, the machine drives the slider of the zipper at a constant speed, and does 30 reciprocating movements per minute until until the specified number of times.

Technical parameters:

1. Reciprocating times: 30 times/min

2. Reciprocating stroke: 75 mm

3. Clamp size: horizontal width 25 mm, vertical width 10 mm, pitch 1.5 mm, tooth tip width 0.2 m

4. Two clamping devices Distance: 6.35 mm

5. Total weight of longitudinal clamping device: 0.28- 0.34 kg

6. Specimen opening angle: 60°

7. Specimen meshing angle: 30°

8. Counter: 0- 999,999

9. Power supply: AC220V, 50Hz, 80 W

10. Dimensions: 480×370×960 mm (L×W×H)

11. Weight: 60 kg

Test method:

(1) Test the upper stop strength of the zipper teeth interlock, pull the slider to the upper end stop, and pull the slider, at this time, the upper stop strength of the zipper can be measured, This is to simulate the ability of the zipper to resist external force when the zipper is in the gripping state, when the slider is pulled over the top stop or the top stop is moved from the rib.

(2) Test the locking strength of the slider The slider is self-locked in the middle of the connecting teeth, and the zipper teeth are divided into left and right parts, and the zipper of the left and right parts can be stretched to test the locking strength and the resistance of the internal components of the slider.

 (3) The zipper test of the bottom stop strength Pull the slider to the lower end stop, and the pull teeth are divided into left and right parts. Pulling the left and right sides of the chain teeth can measure the force required for the bottom stop to be damaged, as well as measure the slider. Resistance of internal components.

(4) Test of flat pull strength Flat pull strength is the most basic strength index. It is used to test the ability of zipper teeth to resist lateral force in an interlocked state, which is very similar to the actual use state.

(5) Test of the binding strength of the slider and the slider Apply the force of the slider in the direction perpendicular to the slider until the slider is separated from the slider, and the value recorded at this time is the binding strength of the slider and the slider.

(6) Test of open-end flat pull strength Test the resistance of the open-end zipper cannula and socket against external force damage. The fixtures are respectively fixed on the left and right sides of the open-end. When the zipper is closed, start the machine.

Water Resistance Testing Standards and Methods
Textile water resistance testing evaluates fabrics through three primary methods: hydrostatic pressure (measuring water penetration resistance), spray rating (assessing surface water repellency), and water repellency tests (quantifying water absorption). Hydrostatic pressure testing is critical for high-performance applications like outdoor apparel and diving gear, while spray rating evaluates surface staining for rainwear. Water repellency tests, such as the Bundesmann method, determine overall
