Classification standard of masks

A mask is a sanitary product, generally refers to a device worn on the mouth and nose to filter the air entering the mouth and nose to prevent harmful gases, odors, and droplets from entering and leaving the wearer's mouth and nose. It is made of gauze or paper. Masks have a certain filtering effect on the air entering the lungs. Wearing masks has a very good effect when working in a polluted environment such as dust when respiratory infectious diseases are prevalent. 1. Ordinary gauze mask. Civil, belonging to the textile category. ★Gauze masks cannot prevent dust; ★Ordinary gauze masks are fiber masks. The principle of blocking flow is a mechanical blocking effect. Through this layer of mechanical blocking, large particles can be blocked, but the diameter is smaller than 5-micron particles cannot be stopped; ★Gauze masks are more advanced than other masks, so they are also called gas masks, and their anti-virus and dust-proof effects are also better. Generally, they are used in factories that generate dust and some dangerous rescues. 2. Medical masks Medical masks are composed of a mask body and a tensioning strap. The mask body is divided into inner, middle and outer layers. The inner layer is a skin-friendly material (ordinary sanitary gauze or non-woven fabric), and the middle layer is an isolation filter layer ( Ultra-fine polypropylene fiber melt-blown material layer), and the outer layer is a special material antibacterial layer (non-woven fabric or ultra-thin polypropylene melt-blown material layer). According to performance characteristics and scope of application, medical masks can be divided into: medical protective masks, medical surgical masks, and general medical masks. ★ Medical protective masks: Medical protective masks are suitable for the protection of medical personnel and related staff against airborne respiratory infectious diseases. Wear it when in contact with patients with respiratory tract infections that are spread by air or by droplets at close range. It can filter particles in the air and block droplets, blood, body fluids, secretion droplets, etc. It is a one-time-use product. Medical protective masks can prevent most bacteria, viruses and other pathogens. WHO recommends that medical personnel use protective masks against particulate matter to prevent virus infection in the hospital air. ★Medical surgical masks: Medical surgical masks are suitable for basic protection of medical personnel or related personnel, as well as protection against the spread of blood, body fluids and splashes during invasive operations. The protection level is medium and has certain respiratory protection performance. It is mainly worn in a clean environment with a cleanliness level of less than 100,000, working in the operating room, nursing patients with immunocompromised function, and performing body cavity puncture and other operations. Medical surgical masks can block most bacteria and some viruses, prevent medical staff from being infected, and also prevent the direct discharge of microorganisms carried in the exhalation of medical staff, posing a threat to patients undergoing surgery. Medical surgical masks require a bacterial filtration efficiency of more than 95%. Disposable medical surgical masks should also be distributed to suspicious respiratory patients to prevent the threat of infection to other hospital personnel and reduce the risk of cross-infection, but the effect of avoiding infection is not as effective as medical protective masks. ★Ordinary medical masks: Ordinary medical masks are used to block the splashes exhaled from the mouth and nasal cavity, and can be used for disposable health care in ordinary medical environments, with the lowest protection level. Ideal for general hygiene care activities such as sanitation, dispensing, cleaning beds! Dust masks and oil fume masks (scientific name: self-priming filter anti-particulate respirator) are generally used for occupational protection. It is better for anti-fog and haze. ★ Dust mask, mainly to prevent dust, smoke, fog, microorganisms and so on. Divided into KN100, KN95 and KN90 grades. Among them, the KN100 grade can effectively prevent the ultrafine dust rate of more than 99.97%. ★Anti-fume mask, mainly to prevent oil fume and oil mist, but also to prevent dust, smoke, fog, microorganisms, etc. Divided into KP100, KP95 and KP90 grades. Among them, the KP100 grade can effectively prevent the ultrafine dust rate of more than 99.97%. ★According to the style of the mask, it can be divided into three types: disposable type, duplex half-mask type, and full-face mask type.
