How to Conduct Hydrostatic Head Tester?
1. Power on.2. Open the lid of the water filler on the top of the hydrostatic head tester in textile. Then, use the funnel to add about 3000ml of purified water. Close the lid after adding water.3. Connect the air source and adjust the cylinder pressure according to the testing range.Testing range is 200KPA, pressure shall be about 0.3Mpa.Testing range is 500KPA, pressure shall be about 0.4Mpa.Testing range is 1000KPA, pressure shall be about 0.5-0.6Mpa.The knob can adjust the pressure of the upper and lower fixtures.4. The water inside the water tank could be discharged from the water valve.The overflow from the the fixture could be discharged from the water valve.5. Press “Enter ” enter to the test page. “BACK LIMIT ” is limitation prompt. (The test can only be done when the it returns to the limit position.)6. Click “SETTING” to enter the test interface.7. Select required Test Method. Five test methods for choice: (1)Pressure Rise (2)Const. P. & Timing (3)Const. P. & Time (4)Water Penetration (5) Fatigue.8. Click “TEST_INF ” back to the test interface.9. Click “Water” to add water to the lower test fixture. Click “Water” again to stop adding water when water overflows.10. Place the sample in the test head so that the face of the sample will be in contact with the water.(Try to ensure that the specimen is in contact with the water surface to prevent the presence of air at the bottom of the specimen, which will affect the test results.)11. Click “Down” to press down the upper fixture.(If Current Pressure is not 0Kpa, click “Drain” for drainage few water. Please click “TEST” to start test when the Current Pressure is 0Kpa. )12. Before test, click “P.Zero” to clear. Then, click “TEST” test to start test.When the pressure reaches the set preload pressure value, the machine starts the timer. 11. Click “UP” to up the fixture after the test.The machine will automatically return to the limitation position. (When it prompts BACK LIMIT, please can do next test.) 12. Click “RESULT ”to view the result. Click “SNAPW.” to check the point result. Click to “PRINTALL” to print out the test results.
Problems that May arise During the Test
During hydrostatic pressure testing, improper operation may have an impact on the results of the experiment. The following situations can affect the results of the experiment:a) Before clamping the specimen, make sure that there is no air between the specimen and the water, and then clamp the specimen for the test of the experiment. If air remains between the specimen and the water, the water cannot contact the test area uniformly, and some areas may fail to form water droplets, affecting the results.b) During the test, try to ensure that there is no water seepage or leakage at the edge of the specimen holding device. If the specimen seeps or leaks at the edge of the clamping device, water will seep out from the edge of the clamping device during the test, and the test pressure of the specimen will rise erratically, which will not ensure the accuracy of the experimental results, and will have an impact on the experimental results.
