AATCC 135 fabric shrinkage test process and rating reference

Scope of application: This test method is used for the dimensional changes of woven fabrics and knitted fabrics after many household washings. Test principle: The size change of the cloth is calculated by the difference between the standard length defined on the cloth before washing in the typical household washing and drying process. Test instrument: Whirlpool washing machine and clothes dryer, Medicine: 92g WOB washing powder, total laundry weight: 1.8kg, weighted cloth: 92X2300px, white bleached cotton cloth, seaming. Sampling: Use the AATCC sampling ruler to cut a sample of 50 X1250px, and take three pairs of 35 X875px (35 is the smallest, or larger) on each side for marking, and take at least three samples. AATCC Shrinkage Washing Machine Technical Parameters: Standard: AATCC 88B, AATCC 88C, AATCC 124, AATCC 130, AATCC 135, AATCC 142, AATCC 143, AATCC 150, AATCC 159, AATCC 172, AATCC 179, AATCC 188 Test steps: 1) Sampling , Weigh, make up for less than 1.8kg with weighted cloth. 2) Set the water level. Medium is generally used, and if the customer has special requirements, it will be based on customer requirements. 3) Set the water temperature. Generally wash with warm water and cold water bleach, or according to customer requirements. The water heater can adjust the water temperature. 4) Set the washing program. Generally use Regular or according to customer requirements. 5) Take 92g of WOB detergent, dissolve it with warm water and pour it into the washing machine. 6) Put the sample and weight cloth into the washing machine. 7) Start up and run, and take it out after the end. 8) Put the taken out test sample and weighted cloth into the dryer. 9) Set a suitable drying program and temperature, and start the machine. 10) After the operation is over, take out the test sample and the weighted cloth, put it back in the washing machine and press 2) to 9) for the experiment. 11) As mentioned above, at least three cycles of washing and drying are carried out. 12) The dried test sample is placed in the condition room for at least 4 hours, and then the size change is measured and recorded. Test report: 1) The percentage of dimensional change in the length direction is the average value of each measurement. 2) The percentage of dimensional change in the width direction is the average value of each measurement. 3) Explain the washing conditions used, including water level, water temperature, and washing program. 4) Explain the drying conditions used, including drying procedures and temperature. 5) Explain the appearance change of the test sample after washing.
