ISO 105-C02 Test method for color fastness to washing of fabrics

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is an international alliance of national standard organizations ((ISO members). The preparation of international standards is usually completed by the ISO technical committee. Members who are interested in the projects established by the technical committee have the right to participate in the committee. Official and unofficial international organizations can get in touch with ISO and participate in the work. ISO has close ties with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) in all matters related to electrotechnical standardization. The draft international standard adopted by the technical committee transmits votes to members , More than 75% of the supporting parties are released as an international standard. The international standard ISO 105-C02 was formulated by the ISO/TC 38 Textile Technical Committee. This fourth edition has made technical revisions to the third edition, canceling and replacing the third edition (ISO 105-C02:1987), ISO 105 has published 13 'parts\Full catalog. Scope This standard specifies the second test in a series of five washing fastness tests, which has been set as a test method for studying the color fastness to washing of colored textiles. This series of tests includes mild to violent washing Operating range. Note: This method is only formulated to determine the effect of washing on the color fastness of textiles, and does not reflect the overall results of washing and ironing operations. The provisions contained in the following standards are cited in this standard and constituted by reference in this standard The provisions of the standard. When this standard is published, the versions shown are valid. All standards will be revised. All parties using this standard should explore the possibility of using the latest version of the following standards. GB 250-1995 Gray sample card for assessing color change ( idt ISO 105-A02:1993) GB 251-1995 Gray scale for evaluation of staining (idt ISO 105-A03:1993) GB/T 6151-1997 General test rules for the color fastness of textiles (eqv ISO 105-A01:1994) GB 7564^-7568-87 The specification of standard lining fabric for textile color fastness test (neq ISO 105-F:1985) GB 11404-89 The specification of textile color fastness test for multi-fiber lining fabric (neq ISO 105-F10:1989 ) Principle The textile sample is stitched with one or two specified lining fabrics, placed in soap, and mechanically stirred under the specified time and temperature conditions, then rinsed and dried. The gray sample card is used to evaluate the quality of the sample Discoloration and staining of the lining fabric. Sample 1. If the sample is a fabric, prepare the sample according to one of the following methods: a) Take a 40 mm X 100 mm sample, and a 40 mm X 100 mm sample on the front side. The fiber lining fabric ((4.4.1) is in contact and stitched along a short side (or otherwise specified) to form a combined sample. b) Take a 40 mm X 100 mm sample, sandwich it between two 40 mm X 100 mm single fiber lining fabrics ((4.4.2), stitch along a short side (or specify otherwise) to form a combination Sample. 2. If the sample is yarn or loose fiber, take the yarn or loose fiber approximately equal to half of the total mass of the lining fabric, and prepare the sample according to one of the following methods: a) Clamp a piece of 40 mm X 100 mm multi-fiber lining fabric and a piece of 40 mm X 100 mm dyeable fabric (4.4.3), stitched along the four sides (according to GB/T 6151-1997, 9. 3. 3. 4) to form a Combine the sample. b) It is sandwiched between two 40 mm X 100 mm single-fiber lining fabrics and stitched along the four sides to form a combined sample. Operation procedure 1. Put the combined sample in the container, and inject the required amount of soap solution ((4-3) preheated to 50℃±2'C, so that the bath ratio is 50:to2, and the combined sample is at 50℃ Treat at ±2℃ for 45 min. 3. Take out the combined sample, wash it twice with cold tertiary water ((4-6), and then rinse in running cold water for 10 minutes to squeeze out the water. Unfold the combined sample to make the sample The lining is connected by only one suture (disconnect all the sutures if necessary), and hung to dry in the air not exceeding 60°C. 4. Use a gray sample card ((4.5) to evaluate the discoloration of the sample and the lining fabric Staining. More about: Washing color fastness tester
