Martindale pilling test procedure

Meet the standards: ASTMD 4970; ISO12945.2; GB/T4802.2/13775/21196.1/21196.2; ASTMD4966; ISO 12947; FZ/T 20020; BS3424-24/5690; ISO 12947.1/12947.2; Mu0026S; P17/P19/P19C ; NEXT 18/18a/18b; ISO5470-2; IWTO-40; JIS L10968.17.5 MethodE; Woolmark TM112/196; BS EN 388/530/13770; ISO20344 Test principle: 1) Rubbing resistance test round fabric sample It is fixed on the grinding table, and the friction test is carried out with the friction head fixed with the standard friction cloth. There are three kinds of evaluation methods: the measurement of sample damage, the measurement of mass loss, the evaluation of appearance change 2) Pilling test The pilling test method adopted on Martindale was developed with EMPA. The test is suitable for knitted and woven fabrics (woven from spun yarn). Use the test instrument to simulate the pilling that occurs during normal wear. Under slight pressure, rub the sample mounted on the sample holder and the fabric on the grinding table in a certain geometric pattern, and then rub the sample after grinding. Contrast level with standard sample photos. According to the types of tested samples, it can be simply divided into: knitting fuzzing and pilling review sample photos, woven fabric fuzzing and pilling review sample photos. And according to the jealous condition of pilling, it is divided into five levels 5-No pilling 4-Slight pilling 3-Medium pilling 2-Severe pilling 1-Very severe pilling Test method: The test sample is in accordance with the standard under the specified pressure The rubbing cloth is rubbed, and after reaching a predetermined number of rotations, the wear resistance of the sample is evaluated. Operation method 1. Preparation of the sample In a standard environment, place it for a period of time in a flat, non-stretched state according to different standards. For example, 24 h (GB/T 4 80 2.2-19 97), 16h (EN ISO 12947-4:1998) 2. Selection of sample Representative. If it is a fancy fabric, the sample should include all the different structures and colors presented on the cloth surface; 3, remove the load and load shaft from the testing machine; 4, remove the top plate and test fixture; 5, the device of the sample : Loosen the fixing ring on the test fixture, take off the sample presser, and put the sample into the test fixture base. When the fabric to be tested is not more than 500 g/m2, a piece of polyester foam is placed between the sample and the metal plug of the sample holder; when it is more than 500 g/m2, or a composite fabric, no foam is required. The specimens on each specimen holder shall be subjected to the same tension. 6. u200bu200bDevice for wool felt and rubbing cloth: Put the felt and abrasive on the grinding table, put the weight on the abrasive, then put the pressure ring, tighten the nut, so that the pressure ring fixes the abrasive on the grinding table. 7. Put the grinding head on the abrasive and pressurize; 8. Place the test fixture with the sample face down, place it on the base fixture, adjust the circular groove of the test fixture to the load shaft, so that the load shaft is inserted In the circular groove of the test fixture; 9. Set the number of times according to the standard, start the switch, start the test, and automatically stop after the set number of times: 10. Take off the sample and compare the standard sample in the rating box. Matters: 1, the friction cloth cannot be used repeatedly, a piece of friction cloth needs to be replaced every time the test is completed; 2, wool felt can be used repeatedly, if the surface is worn or stained and needs to be replaced, it can be used on both sides; 3, the insole should First go to the cloth, and then perform the Martindale abrasion test; 4. After the test is completed, if the surface of the sample has abrasion, yarn breakage, fuzzing or serious pilling, serious abrasion and other abnormal phenomena, it is judged as unqualified. 5. When preparing samples, pay special attention to cutting edges to avoid hairy changes to avoid unnecessary quality loss and appearance changes. 6. u200bu200bPay attention to operating specifications and personnel safety during the operation of the instrument. Maintenance: 1. The instrument must be cleaned and cleaned regularly to ensure the cleanliness of the test instrument. 2. The test instrument should be inspected regularly to see if there is any abnormality; 3. Each user should follow the correct instructions during use. Use the method of use, do not use in violation of regulations, so as not to damage the instrument, resulting in shortening the life of the instrument; 4. After using the test instrument, each user must place the instrument and clean the instrument accordingly to ensure the instrument’s life. Clean; 5. When the instrument is not in use, turn off the power of the instrument and keep the instrument clean.
