The principle and operation method of the reciprocating fabric flat grinder

Structural principle The instrument generally uses sandpaper or gauze as the abrasive, which is installed on the abrasive frame, and the fabric sample is placed on the front and rear platforms that do reciprocating motion under a certain tension. It is clamped by the chucks on the front and rear platforms. Due to the self-weight of the abrasive holder, the abrasive is in contact with the fabric sample and wears out. The number of times the fabric has been worn is counted by a counter. The instrument can test the wear resistance of the fabric in the warp and weft directions respectively. The time required for the test is short, and the wear area of the sample is large. The disadvantage is that the test conditions cannot be changed except for the variable number of sandpaper, so the applicability to various fabrics is poor. In addition, abrasive debris is easily deposited on the surface of the sample, which needs to be cleaned frequently to avoid affecting the test results. Operation method ①Before the test, lift the abrasive frame upwards, and then push the front platform back, so that the spring piece jumps up and hooks the front platform. ②Use a brush to clean the entire platform surface. ③Choose the appropriate number of sandpaper (generally No. 280, No. 400, No. 500, No. 600), clamp the sandpaper on the abrasive frame, and the width of the sandpaper is generally smaller than the width of the sample. ④ Unscrew the chucks on the front and rear platforms, put one end of the cloth sample into the chuck of the rear platform and tighten it, and then extend the other end of the cloth sample into the chuck of the front platform, and use the iron sheet to make the cloth surface flat. Then tighten the front collet. Lift off the spring plate so that the cloth sample is under a certain tension. ⑤Put the abrasive holder on the cloth sample and turn the timer to zero at the same time. ⑥ Start the motor for testing. During the wear process, after a certain number of wears, the abrasive holder must be lifted, and the abrasive dust on the surface of the sample must be cleaned with a brush. The number of abrasions suffered by the sample can be read by a timer. The wear and tear of the fabric can be selected as needed.
