Parameters and test methods of digital fabric bursting strength machine

Product Name: Digital Fabric Burst Strength Tester, Textile Burst Tester Model: C12B

Purpose: This fabric bursting strength tester can be used to detect the burst strength and height of woven, knitted, non-woven, paper or sheet materials. The fabric bursting strength tester uses hydraulic drum blasting. A specific area of rubber film is then applied to the sample to force the fabric to burst.

Principle: The digital burst strength tester can detect the burst strength of knitted fabrics, apply oil pressure on the rubber membrane of a specific area, and then force the fabric to burst. The instrument is equipped with pressure display, peak hold record and peak upper limit setting, replaceable rubber diaphragm, and manual clamping device.

Compliant with standards: ISO??13938-1/3689/3303/2758??,?ERT 80-4-20??ASTM?D3786 BS 3137/3424(PT6)/4768, GB/T 7742.1

Technical parameters:

1, Maximum power: 6000kPa

2, test area: 80mm in diameter Product features:

①, full test area support, suitable for different standard requirements, up to 100cm2 test area in line with GB standard;

②, support PC-side online communication, statistical analysis of the results, printable Test report;

③, Pneumatic clamp, the clamping force is firm and uniform, and can be applied to the clamping of various materials in all directions;

④, The test results are rich in expression, which can display such as: bursting strength, bursting strength, diaphragm pressure, expansion Bursting height and bursting time; it is convenient for quality control personnel to fully understand the bursting performance of the sample. Test procedure Put all the samples in the standard atmospheric conditions required by the standard to adjust the humidity balance, and prepare the test samples of the required size.

①. Manual test:

1. Installation of the test sample Put the conditioned sample into the fixture, and tighten the sample along the plane to avoid wrinkles. Place the test cup above the test sample

2. Rotate the handwheel clockwise at 120 rpm until the sample breaks. Stop rotating the handwheel at the moment when the sample ruptures. After the sample ruptures, quickly loosen the clamp ring on the sample, rotate the handle counterclockwise to the starting point to relax the film, record the pressure required to expand the film, and record the total pressure required to rupture the sample.

NOTE If the dial indicates that the pressure has stopped rising, but the sample has not ruptured, push the lever to remove the pressure. The elongation of the sample beyond the measurement limit of the fabric bursting strength tester is recorded.

②. Automatic test: put the sample after humidity conditioning into the fixture, and tighten the sample along the plane to avoid wrinkles. Place the test cup over the test sample and move the operating handle to the left to inflate the membrane. When the membrane expands, hold the latch on the lower or right side of the lever. When the sample breaks, try to turn the pin back to the middle position. Record the total pressure required to rupture the sample. After the sample ruptures, quickly loosen the clamp ring on the sample, swing the pin to its normal position, remove the pressure on the membrane, push the lever to the right, and record the pressure required to expand the membrane. What Are the Test Methods for Fabric Bursting Strength?
Fabric bursting strength measures resistance to rupture under concentrated load. Three primary test methods are used:

Ball Burst Method (ASTM D3787): Steel ball penetration for textiles/films using testers like GT-C02-2.

Hydraulic Method (ISO 13938.1): Fluid pressure on rubber diaphragm for industrial fabrics via GT-C12A.

Pneumatic Method (ISO 13938.2): Compressed air for breathable materials tested with GT-C12B.
Results are influenced by raw materials, yarn properties,

What Are the ISTA Standard Tests and ISTA Testing Equipment?
ISTA (International Safe Transit Association) standard tests are globally recognized transportation packaging test procedures designed to evaluate the safety and reliability of products and their packaging throughout the logistics chain. By simulating real-world transportation conditions such as drops, vibration, impact, stacking, and compression, ISTA testing helps identify potential packaging weaknesses before products enter large-scale distribution. ISTA testing equipment—including drop testers, vibration testers, incline impact machines, and compression testers—plays a critical role in accurately reproducing these conditions under laboratory settings. Proper selection and use of ISTA-compliant equipment enable manufacturers to reduce transportation damage, lower return costs, enhance packaging design, and improve customer confidence in product quality and logistics safety.
