Test method for pilling abrasion of fabric

Measuring method: 1. Pilling box 2. Random rolling pilling test 3. Abrasion tester for pilling test 1. Pilling box: The sample (125 mm × 125 mm) is cut from the fabric (2 is warp latitude). Sew face to face and turn around. The fabric tube is installed on the rubber tube. Use PVC tape to loosen the tape. All four samples are then put together in a cork-lined box 9' x 9' x 9' x' and allow the desired revolution cycle. Take out the specimen and remove it from the rubber tube and evaluate it. At the same time, the main reason for pilling is that the fiber has high 'transverse strength' or 'bend' or 'low brittleness'. High 'transverse strength' may be advantageous in some applications, such as technical textiles, floor coverings, etc. However, the tendency of pilling has also increased, so 'low lateral strength' is desirable in the apparel industry, especially in knitted products. Polyester fiber is intentionally brittle and used in knitted products to avoid pilling (anti-pilling type). The pellets do not form fibers with low transverse strength (wool and pellet-resistant man-made fibers). They can be wiped off easily. But the strength of the fiber and the high side will have higher pilling. Anti-pilling performance and durability are negatively correlated. Pilling grade: No or very weak pill at grade 5. Weak pill at grade 4. Grade moderate pellets. Grade 2 obvious pellets. Grade 1 drug strength. 2. Random tumbling pilling test: Random tumbling motion of tumbling in a cylindrical test box made of light abrasive materials. In order to match the actual wear Similar tablets, with a small amount of cotton fiber added. Three specimens of 105 mm x 105 mm cut corners 45? length and edges are glued and sealed with rubber. All these samples together with the cotton are dropped in the test chamber. After a certain period of time Fabric samples are evaluated. The number and time of the cycles depend on the type of fabric and will be specified in the relevant specifications. Third, the abrasion tester for the pilling test: the specimen is mounted on the large (bottom) and small (top) sample holders . Then rub each other (source sample). 2 Pressure: 2.5/cm knitted fabric. Woven and upholstery fabric 6.5. In the standard abrasive, the fabric sample is placed on the lower shelf. If the degree of pilling is different, the upper and lower shelf are on the sample Evaluation. The number and duration of the cycle depends on the type of fabric testing and will be specified in the relevant specifications.
